Amendment to Prices for Products on Back Order

At Claremont Firearms, we strive to provide exceptional service and value to our customers. Due to the nature of backordered items, there may be instances where we adjust prices to reflect current market conditions and demand.

To ensure transparency and fairness in our pricing policy, we have established the following guidelines regarding price changes on products that are on backorder:

  1. Prices for backordered items may be subject to change based on factors such as demand, availability, and production costs. As a result, the price you see at the time of purchase may differ from the initial price advertised.
  2. We will make every effort to notify you of any price changes for backordered items before processing your order. This will allow you to review the updated pricing and decide whether to proceed with your purchase.

Cancellations of transactions

Transactions that are cancelled prior to completion will not be charged.

Shipping and Returns

Shipping

Claremont Firearms offers flat rate shipping to our online customers.

We deliver all our parcels via Australia Post. Flat rate shipping Australia-wide is $20 flat rate (for parcels under 5kgs)

Order over 5kgs are considered bulky or heavy items. Flat rate shipping does not apply to these items. Australia Post parcel rates or freight charges for bulky items will be provided via phone after your online store purchase has been processed, as an additional cost. Different postal rates occur depending on your location.

If the item is too large for Australia Post then we may need to organise a courier at the customer’s expense.

PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT MAIL FIREARMS, AMMUNITION, MAGAZINES, SAFES AND CERTAIN RELOADING EQUIPMENT.

Delivery of Goods

We aim to despatch all orders within one business day of payment. We will send you an update via email or SMS letting you know when your order has been posted.

In the rare event that we are out of stock of an item you will be notified (usually via email or phone call) and given a delivery date. If this is not satisfactory you will be given the option of cancelling your order or changing the item for a different option.

Australia Parcel Post usually deliver within 1 - 3 working days for most regions and in excess of 7 working days to the Eastern States or remote areas. Claremont Firearms is not liable for delayed delivery of your order and is not able to guarantee the delivery services of third-party service providers.

Please accept our apologies for any delays in shipping.

Returns & Refunds Policy

An intent to return an item must be notified to us within 7 days of receiving your order by either email or telephone. Returns are accepted only in the case of prior authorisation.

In the case of the incorrect product being ordered or delivered the products must be in perfect condition, unopened and in packaging.

You may wish to exchange an item with another one of the same value.

Shipment cost cannot be refunded except in the case of the incorrect product being sent therefore the cost for re-sending an item is free.

We recommend purchasing insurance since we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged returns. We cannot guarantee that your package will not be damaged upon arrival to your address.

Any damaged or incomplete shipments must be reported within 48 hours of receipt of the products. If a product arrives looking damaged, then please contact us immediately.

Layby

A lay-by can be placed by any person 18 years or over, purchasing a firearm from our store.

The lay-by is available for a 3 month period with a deposit. The minimum deposit is $300 or 30% of value of the item, whichever is greatest.

If license approval is denied, money will be refunded in full, provided it is not a special order firearm.

A lay-by can be extended at the discretion of Management on behalf of Claremont Firearms.

If you decide to cancel your lay-by, a $300 or 30% of the value of the item/s (whichever is greatest) restocking fee will be charged.

We reserve the right to cancel any, or all, lay-bys that have exceeded the ‘agreed-upon’ payment deadline.

All items on lay-by are stored securely and treated with care and diligence.

Customer Orders

Specific customer orders must be paid in full at the time of ordering.

Claremont Firearms takes no responsibility for supplier-based price increases after the order is placed.

Specific customer orders are non-refundable should the customer merely change his/her mind and no longer wants the product ordered.

In instances where the customer no longer wants a special order product, at the discretion of Management, Claremont Firearms may retain the full amount received at the time of ordering, should the product be deemed unsellable.

Storage of Firearms Disclaimer

We reserve the right to keep/sell any firearms that have been in storage for any longer than 6 months without storage being paid to recuperate any lost fees. We will look after the item to the best of our ability but can’t be responsible for any damage as a result of unforeseen circumstances ie fire, flood, burglary or other. Any firearms stored with us for a private sale must pay 3 months storage in advance.
